In a lively informative presentation using his families history to illustrate the experiences of nuclear veterans and their families, Nigel was able to chart the evolution of the concept of an international Nuclear Community populated with Service veterans, Indigenous peoples, Spouses and generations of Offspring all sharing a common bond of living within the shadow of the bomb.
Detailing how this community had specifically evolved in the United Kingdom and the methods used to gain recognition Nigel also revealed current and future projects to enhance wellbeing and reduce suffering within the community.
Following the presentation a discussion was held exploring the largely untapped potential for social, scientific and political research within this community.
